Event > Beach Hop 2012 - Sunday Wrap-Up
To conclude our coverage of Beach Hop 2012, here are some of the highlights from Sunday's Nostalgia Fair & Car Show, as well as the entrants major prize draw...
This immaculate 1971 Dodge Superbee looks great with it's bright orange bodywork and black accents. As I've mentioned previously - the Dodge Superbee logo was the inspiration for our very own KiwiMotoring 'Kiwi on Wheels' logo.
Two of my favourite things combined - a Ford Falcon XA coupe, and Burger Fuel.
1966 Mark II Ford GT40 with Gulf livery...
...and a 600hp alloy 427 cubic inch Carroll Shelby factory built engine.
Here's a tricky one for you - can you name the car that this badge is off?
Now this is how you travel in style - a 5.7L V8 powered Chevrolet Belair mobile camper.
Amongst the Beach Hop People's Choice Finalists, I really liked this traditional style 1932 Ford Coupe.
There were 5 finalist cars and 5 bikes in the running for top honours, and the winner of the car category was...
...this very unusual and well executed custom fabricated Rat Rod that I had spotted the day before.
Fuel was in hot demand from the only petrol station in town all weekend, especially on the Sunday as many cars filled up to head home.
That concludes our coverage of Beach Hop for this year. We look forward to Beach Hop 2013, which will be held from Wednesday 20th of March to Sunday 24th of March 2013. To see the full set of images from Beach Hop 2012, visit our Facebook album here.
